Air barriers for recycling and waste facilities
Doors must open for delivery and removal of materials. Dust, odours and other diffuse emissions may also escape through those openings. Air barriers therefore need to fit the hall's overall airflow concept.

Consider the opening in the emissions plan
Material arrives, is handled and leaves the hall. Doors often remain open for vehicles. Depending on the process and weather, hall air containing dust or odours can move through the opening.
An air barrier can reduce exchange while keeping the route open. Existing extraction, supply air, pressure relationships and other openings must be assessed together before selecting a system.

Large openings for containers or vehicles without a fixed airlock.

Airflow at the door coordinated with extraction and building pressure.
