Air barriers for industrial production halls

Production doors must accommodate materials, vehicles and people. A purpose-engineered air barrier can reduce uncontrolled air exchange at the opening without interrupting those movements.

Illustrative application: an air-barrier installation at a production-hall door.

Protect working areas near the door

Raw materials, assemblies and finished goods pass through large industrial doors. When those doors remain open, cold outside air can affect workstations nearby and warmed indoor air escapes. Some processes also require closer attention to local temperature conditions.

Side-mounted discharge columns direct an air stream across the opening while the route stays clear. Door dimensions, opening patterns, wind exposure and building pressure all affect the design and its achievable performance.

Where an assessment makes sense

Production halls

External doors with regular material traffic and workstations close to the opening.

Assembly and dispatch

Large components leave the hall without an extra gate or waiting cycle.

Existing buildings

A retrofit is checked against the door structure, mounting points and other equipment.

What helps us assess your hall

We review the doorway together with the operation behind it, then coordinate the technical design with arwus.

  • Door width, height and installation photos
  • Opening frequency and vehicle movements
  • Temperatures and nearby workplaces
  • Wind exposure, building pressure and installation clearances
